Good day! I hope this letter finds you well.Ā
It's week 4, and it's time for you to actually start going to classes. Leave your house!š. A month's holiday is more than enough. If we can't convince you, hopefully, your results have been able to.Ā
Yup ā it's white-paper season!! Even though some results have been āone kind,ā I have memes to console myself. Itās hard to choose which one is the best copium: exam-season memes or results-season memesš.
But honestly, a bad grade is not the end of the world. Thank God for the second semester. Nothing good comes easily, though; youāll have to put in the work. It's a second chance, don't flunk it. That's the end of the motivation we have for you.
Enjoying this so far?
It Seems Like Weāre All AI
If you've been on Elon Musk's app recently, you must have seen that Paul Graham tweet.Ā
It caused a lot of outrage and rightfully highlighted the biases that come with this AI era.
His tweet, which garnered widespread attention, showed the inherent risks when AI systems that are designed to mimic human intellect inadvertently perpetuate the very biases they are programmed to avoid.
The danger lies not in the existence of bias itselfāafter all, to err is humanābut in the scale and speed at which AI can disseminate these biases. An algorithmic faux pas, once unleashed into the digital ecosystem, can replicate and reinforce stereotypes at an alarming rate, far beyond the reach of human correction. The AI, a mirror reflecting our collective consciousness, can just as easily become a magnifying glass, intensifying the flaws it was meant to help us see more clearly.
Graham's tweet challenges us to confront the uncomfortable truth: that AI, in its current state, is akin to a pseudo-intellectual, adept at parroting discourse without grasping the nuances of understanding. It is a sobering thought that the tools we create to enhance our capabilities could instead become vehicles for the unchecked spread of misinformation and prejudice.
It is important that we always remember that AI is Artificial Intelligence. It is MAN-MADE. In the end, the true measure of our technological advancements will not be the sophistication of our machines but the depth of our wisdom in guiding them.
Long story short, I'm this guy
I'm sure the majority of us went through these same rigorous vocabulary development exercises from primary school through senior secondary school.
