Q3-Still Creating, Still Becoming.
A look at where we are, what we're building, and why it still matters.
I believe this is one of those moments in life where we TRULY witness how time flies by so quickly.😭
Somehow, we’re already in Week 9 of the academic calendar. Between lectures, events, personal projects, and the general buzz of school life, it’s easy to feel like everything is speeding past. If you’re reading this, it means you’ve made it this far, and that’s worth pausing to appreciate.✨
There's a time for everyone when the motivation dip starts creeping in. Maybe you can’t seem to focus on studying, write a single line of code, or even get a single idea down. Maybe, like me, you’re stuck staring at a blank page with your thoughts all over the place.
That’s the creative block talking, and it happens to everyone.
The important thing is knowing that it’s part of the process. Sometimes, the brain just needs time to reset. So if you’ve been feeling stuck, try stepping away for a moment. Take a walk. Talk to someone. Look at your old work to remind yourself that you can create amazing things. And when you’re ready, come back to it. The ideas are still there and they’ll always return.
What’s happening at ECX?
We just ended our 14 Days of Code & Design Challenge, and the energy was unreal. Participants pushed themselves to build, learn, and grow. They showed up strong, and this perfectly summarizes who we are and what we do at ECX.🙂↔️
One thing I've come to realize these past few months is the importance of community. You'd get to see people coming together to build and collaborate. They push you to become a better version of yourself, and this is what we're trying to do with this challenge. There's no pressure, and certainly no competition. Just people from different backgrounds helping themselves to succeed, and that, my friend, is truly inspirational. Congrats to all the participants for making it this far.👏🏽
HackX 5.0
This year, we're all about fixing things that actually affect people every day. We’re partnering with Turog, and together, we’re challenging you to take on real issues in insurance, finance, and cash management. These problems may not always make headlines, but they’re most definitely holding people back.
Here’s what we’re focusing on:
Insurance:
Claims take too long and payments are hard to track. We need simpler ways to pay fees, process claims faster, and verify documents digitally.
Finance:
Most banking platforms still aren’t built for people with disabilities. We’re looking for truly accessible tools that make banking easier for everyone.
Cash Management:
Bank Vaults don’t always know where money is most needed. We need smarter systems to track cash and keep ATMs and branches running smoothly.
This is your chance to build something real, with guidance and support from a company that actually operates in these spaces.

The Grand Finale is Coming Here!🥳
For several months, we’ve constantly brought you updates on the ECX 5.0 journey. Happily and unhappily, this train is about to reach its station. I say happily because we'd finally get to showcase our trainees and celebrate their hard work, among other things (Item 7 for me🤭). Unhappily because we'd have to take a break from writing to you.😔
Nonetheless, the Grand Finale is coming bigger and better than the former.🔥
My honest advice? Don't miss it.
The Grand Finale isn’t just a tech event; it's celebrating 5 years of solid work, consistency, and showing up for the love of the community. The calibre of minds that will be in appearance for the Grand Finale is impressive!
It’s a chance to be inspired, to network, to learn, and to remember that the tech world isn’t just out there somewhere but it’s already here, and you’re a part of it.
Come celebrate growth. Come meet brilliance. Come take your place among ECX-ceptional Minds. 💙💛❤️
More info would be passed very soon. Stay glued to our socials. In the meantime, register for the Grand Finale here.

In what seemed to be a development that came from nowhere, there’s a new entrant into the reusable launch systems competition - Honda. On the 17th of June 2025, the giant Japanese industrial conglomerate launched a prototype reusable rocket up to 300m and landed it safely back on Earth.
This step is the equivalent to the famous “Grasshopper” experiments that SpaceX completed back in 2013, where the rocket would launch, hover, and return to the ground. It was a necessary step on the path to reusable rocketry, and Honda is now only the fourth company to ever complete this feat.
As the company moves to completion of a sub-orbital launch in 2029, more and more eyes will be turning toward it as potentially the greatest new competition in this space.
Hack The Tech Life
The tech space is moving at full speed. New tools. New trends. New conversations. The biggest takeaway? Stay curious. Whether you're diving into a new project, learning a new language, or just exploring what's out there, you're preparing yourself for a world that doesn't wait. And that's the kind of energy that makes a difference.

Let’s make the rest of the year count. And lest I forget, Happy New Month, dear ECXers 💙💛❤️.
