Communities to Join as a New Designer

Every sector has a piece of advice that is often given, particularly to newcomers. The famous phrase, “Join a community or support group” is simple yet crucial. Although it may appear that business coaches and industry specialists of our day are all stating the same thing, they couldn’t be more correct.
A community is a place for people like you who share your beliefs or work in the same niche. Communities are significant as they form a valuable source of social connection. A good community is frequently invested in its members’ growth and professional development.
Today we will be showing designers a few amazing communities that can help them in their journey.
1. Dribble:
This is a thriving community for design enthusiasts — web designers, logo designers, graphic designers, typographers, illustrators, and others alike. Members of this community are continuously sharing their work, and this is a great place to acquire design ideas.

2. Behance:
This is more of a platform rather than a community. Behance offers you the opportunity to share your designs with other creatives and get feedback from them.

3. Àșà Coterie:
As a cross-disciplinary community of passionate designers, Àșà Coterie has several activities organized for its members. One such example is their AsaSessions, where various design topics are discussed.
4. ECX Design Community:
Engineering Career Expo (ECX) is always here to assist you. If you were a part of the recently concluded UI/UX training, you can attest to how valuable it was. This community is, however, exclusive to ECX students, so join us in the next edition!
And there you have it. While you are not required to join any of the aforementioned communities, you should explore them and determine which suits you best.
